    Itinerary

    DAY 1 – Colombo – Pinnawela – Dambulla

    • Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and proceed to Dambulla.
    • En-route, explore the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which was started in 1975 to house abandoned and wounded elephants; the orphanage has now grown into a big family.
    • Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Dambulla. (D)

    DAY 2 – Dambulla

    • Enjoy buffet breakfast at your hotel.
    • Later, proceed for your city tour of Dambulla, where you will visit one of the wonders of the ancient world – the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. It is also a UNESCO world heritage site. Sigiriya Rock was once an ancient castle used both as a palace and a fortress and was created by the great King Kasyapa.
    • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Dambulla. (B & D)

    DAY 3 –  Dambulla – Kandy

    • Enjoy buffet breakfast at your hotel.
    • Later, proceed for your Kandy city tour, where you will visit upper lake drive, market square, arts and crafts center, a gem museum and a lapidary. Your next visit will be to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens – a paradise for nature lovers.
    • Later, arrive and check-in to your hotel.
    • In evening, enjoy a traditional Kandyan dance performance.
    • Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Kandy. (B & D)

    DAY 4 – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

    • Enjoy buffet breakfast at your hotel. Later, check-out and proceed to Nuwara Eliya.
    • En route, visit Ramboda falls, the highest waterfall in the country and the picturesque tea plantations. Also, visit the Seetha Amman Temple, the place where Sita is rumored to have been held captive by the king Ravana in the epic, Ramayana.
    • On arrival in Nuwara Eliya, check-in to your hotel.
    • Afterwards, proceed for your city tour of Nuwara Eliya. Take an optional boat ride through Gregory’s Lake or enjoy a horseback ride.

    DAY 5 – Nuwara Eliya – Yala

    • Later, check-out and proceed towards Yala. Yala National park is best known for its variety of wild animals.

    DAY 7 – Yala – Galle

    • Enjoy buffet breakfast at your hotel.
    • Later, check-out and proceed towards Galle. On arrival, enjoy your city tour of Galle.
    • Visit the Galle Dutch Fort which is among the most popular sites in Galle, where it attracts those who value archaeological reserves and heritage. It is known as the oldest fort in Asia, named as a world heritage by UNESCO.

    DAY 8 – Galle – Hikkaduwa

    • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
    • Later, check-out and proceed towards Hikkaduwa, the most popular diving and surfing area in Sri Lanka.
    • On arrival in Hikkaduwa, check-in to your hotel and relax as rest of the day is free at leisure.

    DAY 9 – Galle – Hikkaduwa

    DAY 10 – Hikkaduwa – Colombo

    • Later, check-out and proceed towards Colombo.
    • On arrival, enjoy your city tour of Colombo. Visit the Galle Face Green, a magnificent place to witness a marvellous sun set over Sri lanka. Later visit National Museum. Colombo has wildly varying architecture that span centuries and depict many styles. Many colonial buildings influenced by the Portuguese, Dutch and British exist alongside structures built in Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Indian and contemporary architectural styles. Colombo also boasts many shopping malls and department stores that offer brand name clothing at highly discounted prices. Therefore, it has become an important shopping destination among tourists. For shopping, you may visit Odel, House of Fashion, Beverly Street, Majestic City, Noritake, etc.
    • Later, check-in to your hotel and take some rest.

    DAY 11 – Depart Colombo

    • Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel.
    • Later, check-out and transfer to the airport to board your flight. Return home with wonderful memories of your tour. (B)
